The first university as partner of international cooperation of 2021! Hebei International Studies University and the Royal University of Phnom Penh signed a cooperation agreement
On January 4, 2021, Hebei Foreign Studies University (HISU) represented by President Sun Jianzhong and Royal University of Phnom Penh of Cambodia represented by President Dr. Chet chealy signed a cooperation and exchange framework agreement on the basis of mutual agreement.
The Department of Arabic of HISU started cooperation with Sohar University of Oman in 2019. Since then, it has been sending students abroad on exchange programs every year. In 2021, with the joint efforts by the two sides, online cooperation has been conducted.
From March 22 to 24, 2021, teachers and students in Arabic Department of HISU attended the live open class of Omani Suhar University which covered an introduction to Arab countries, Arabic grammar, Arabic learning, etc.
On March 24, 2021, HISU and University of Almeria of Spain successfully held a video conference on international cooperation.
Since 2013, our university has been cooperating with University of Almeria of Spain on sending exchange students and Spanish undergraduates double degree program. Up to now, more than 40 students have been sent to University of Almeria for further study. To meet the demand for upgrading academic qualifications of Spanish majors, the two sides during the conference discussed the possibility of a partnership in an undergraduate-to-graduate program based on the current undergraduate double degrees program. An in-depth discussion was conducted on details including sending teachers, language skill requirements and scholarships.
HISU and Dr. Tahani, former Minister of Information and Communication Technology of the Republic of the Sudan successfully held a video conference.
On March 31, 2021, HISU successfully held a video conference on international cooperation with Doctor Tahani Abdalla Attia Gasmalla, former Minister of Information and Communication Technology of the Republic of the Sudan.
The two sides of this video conference further discussed the possibility of cooperation on teaching and scientific research as well as academic lectures for Arabic majors and computer majors, and had an in-depth discussion over the details of traveling to and working in China.
Ready? Go! Faculty and students of HISU listening to an online lecture on Bulgarian art and culture
In order to promote exchanges and cooperation with Bulgarian universities and enhance our students' understanding of the Bulgarian language and culture, with the support and help from the Bulgarian Embassy to China, our university invited Professor Iskra Mandova, President of the Confucius Institute of Veliko Turnovo University in Bulgaria, to deliver an lecture on Bulgarian art and culture to our students. The lecture began at 15:00 p.m. on April 28, 2021.
On the afternoon of May 7, HISU, represented by President Sun Jianzhong, and Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies, represented by President Shunyi Jino, formally signed an agreement for friendly cooperation between the two universities.
A cooperation framework has been shaped in terms of overseas study, teacher exchange, joint scientific research and academic exchange. In particular, cooperation agreements have been signed for 2 + 2 double degrees program and NICs short-term overseas study. The University also offers special scholarships for outstanding foreign students and reduces tuition fees for high-score students.
Our university and Riga Technical University of Latvia jointly participated in the "Signing Ceremony for Reform, Development and International Cooperation of Universities of Applied Technologies" during Langfang Economic and Trade Fair on May 18.
The online signing ceremony between our university and Riga Technical University of Latvia officially began at 15:00 p.m. on May 18, 2021.
The aviation service art and management program jointly run by Riga Technical University and our university combines our aviation service art and management courses with Latvian language learning, and offers an important opportunity for future cooperation.
On the afternoon of June 24, HISU held a video conference with West Ukrainian National University. Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of HISU, discussed with Andrew Christie, President of the West Ukrainian National University of Ukraine on academic exchanges, university-level cooperation and Korean and Ukrainian language teaching. They reached an agreement and signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The two sides held talks on teacher-student exchanges, academic and scientific research cooperation, co-authoring teaching materials and jointly popularizing Chinese and Ukrainian languages, with an MOU signed. Going forward, the two sides will provide intellectual support and language talents for the Belt and Road Initiative.
On the morning of April 26, 2021, HISU, represented by Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President, signed a cooperation and exchange agreement with Gachon University of Korea.
