Dr. Yang Zhen, foreign affairs assistant to the President and Vice President of Hebei Foreign Studies University (HFSU), and Ms. Han Fang, President of School of International Students, visited the Embassy of the El Salvador to China on July 16, 2021 in an effort to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on higher education between the University and Central America and deepen friendly exchanges with foreign embassies to China. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Julio Flores, the Minister Counsellor.


The two sides held an official talk in the conference room of the official residence of the Embassy. Dr. Yang Zhen opened the meeting by conveying the cordial greetings of Academician Sun Jianzhong, Chairman and President of HFSU, to all diplomats of the El Salvador Embassy, and made a brief introduction of the University. The following points were underscored during the talk:

With the coordinating efforts by the Embassy, HISU will conduct international exchanges and establish partnerships with Universidad del Salvador and José Simeón Cañas Central American University, the top two universities of El Salvador


Finally, the two sides exchanged gifts and took a photo to mark the occasion.




HISU will accept students from Republic of El Salvador

HISU expressed the intent to set up a Confucius Institute together with José Simeón Cañas Central American University. 


The first Center for El Salvador Studies will be built in China to study regional and national issues as well as the Belt and Road Initiative.  

 

The talk was held in a pleasant and harmonious atmosphere. Diplomats of the Embassy of El Salvador to China expressed their appreciation for the visit by the HISU delegation and their commitment to putting the meeting outcomes into place.
